# Usage and billing

> Check your request quota and manage your subscription.

Your plan provides a monthly request quota shared by all your API keys. See [Billing](https://platform.sanfoundation.com/dashboard/billing) for current prices, usage, and reset dates.

The **Free** plan supports account management and mining, but includes no API data requests. Choose a plan, click **Subscribe**, and complete checkout to add quota.

## What counts

Each completed data request counts once. Pagination, page fetches, and detail lookups are separate requests.

* Successful empty results count.
* Completed finance quote and flight status lookups returning `404` also count.
* Authentication, validation, and quota rejections do not count.

In-flight requests reserve capacity until they finish. [GET /v1/account](https://docs.sanfoundation.com/api-reference/account.md) reports `remaining` and `resets_at` without consuming quota; pending reservations are not reflected in `used`.

## Resets and subscription changes

Quota resets monthly on your billing anchor, which may differ from the calendar month. At the limit, data requests return `429 quota_exceeded`. Wait for the reset or change your plan.

Click **Manage subscription** in **Billing** to change or cancel your plan. A cancellation scheduled for the end of the term keeps your current plan until the displayed date, then returns you to **Free**.
